Some collaborations exist purely to shift units, and then there are those that feel genuinely inevitable. The new Maharishi x Dark Horse Records capsule collection falls firmly into the second category, and it’s one of the most culturally loaded drops of 2026 thus far. The collection arrives in the Chinese “Year of the Horse,” the horse being symbolic of strength, vitality, success, and forward momentum
Maharishi — the London-based label that has spent three decades building a military-influenced wardrobe around symbolism, Eastern philosophy, and anti-militarist graphics has always maintained an outsider status. Dark Horse Records, founded in 1974 by George Harrison as a refuge for artists who refused to play by the industry’s rules, operates on a remarkably similar spiritual wavelength. The label is now run by Dhani Harrison, George’s son, who has long been a friend and supporter of the Maharishi brand. As Dhani has said of his stewardship of the label, he has always looked for partnerships that honor both independence and creative experimentation, and this capsule delivers exactly that.
What’s in the Capsule
The collection is small, just three pieces, and is relatively reasonably priced. The centerpiece is the All Things Must Pass Hooded Sweat for $250, available in maroon and olive, bearing the title of George Harrison’s towering 1970 triple album. It’s a phrase that works equally well as spiritual wisdom, fashion statement, and gentle reminder that even the best things are temporary, which, frankly, is reason enough to move quickly on a limited drop.

The Year of the Dark Horse T-Shirt — offered in both white and black for $95 — leans into the Lunar Year of the Horse, which features the iconic Dark Horse Records logo, weaving Maharishi’s long-standing interest in cyclical time and Eastern symbolism directly into the MAHA brand identity.

Rounding out the capsule are the Dark Horse Tabi Sport Socks for $25, because Maharishi has always sweated the details.

Shot at Friar Park
What elevates this beyond a standard brand drop is the campaign itself. The lookbook was shot at Friar Park, the Victorian Gothic mansion in Henley-on-Thames that George Harrison called home and which remains the spiritual and literal headquarters of the Harrison family’s creative legacy. To photograph a clothing collection in those grounds is to root it in something far deeper than trend cycles — it’s an act of cultural inheritance.
“I’m thrilled to welcome [artists] to the Dark Horse family… it’s about continuing the spirit of independence and creative freedom that my father built.” — Dhani Harrison
That spirit of independence — the same one that led George Harrison to start his own label rather than remain beholden to industry gatekeepers — runs through every thread of this capsule. It’s what makes the Maharishi partnership feel so right. Maharishi founder Hardy Blechman has built his brand on the same principles: reject the disposable, invest in the meaningful, let the work speak for itself.
The Verdict
The Maharishi x Dark Horse Records capsule is a small collection with an outsized cultural footprint. It’s the kind of thing that ends up framed as much as it ends up worn — and that’s not a criticism. When a hoodie carries the words All Things Must Pass and the campaign photos were taken in the gardens where those words were written, you’re not just buying a garment. You’re buying into a lineage.
