Paul Weller x Sunspel: The Modfather Returns With a Third Capsule Collection

There are very few musicians who are known almost as much for their style as they are for their music. Paul Weller is one of them. From his days fronting The Jam in sharp two-tone suits to the effortless Continental cool of The Style Council and beyond, Weller has spent the better part of five decades proving that looking good and sounding good are not mutually exclusive. So when a brand like Sunspel — a label that has been quietly perfecting British essentials since 1860 — keeps inviting him back, you know something is working.

This Spring 2026 marks the third collaboration between Weller and the Long Eaton-based heritage brand, and the collection continues to do what the previous two did so well: strip things back to the foundation of a well-dressed man’s wardrobe and build from there. There are very few musicians who are known almost as much for their style as they are for their music. Paul Weller is one of them. The Collection approx. $460)

The lineup reads like a checklist of mod wardrobe essentials. A Monkey Jacket ($478) — that style forever tied to British youth culture of the 1970s — has been reworked in an Italian technical cotton blend with tonal striped rib detailing. It comes in Midnight Navy and White, and both versions look absolutely spot on. The Ringer T-shirt ($127) is the kind of piece Weller has been wearing since before most of us were born, now rendered in Forest, Dark Brown, and Ice Blue with contrast-bound necklines. An embroidered Sun and Clouds motif, pulled from Sunspel’s 1940s archive logo, appears on both the tee and the jacket — a small detail, but exactly the kind of thing that separates a thoughtful collaboration from a cash grab.

The Henley ($140) draws on historic Sunspel designs with a wide placket and ribbed hem, marrying archival details with modern proportions. A lightweight cotton knitted Jumper ($342) in Vintage Blue, Forest, and Dark Brown is built for effortless layering across seasons. And grounding it all, a pair of Corduroy Trousers ($255) in Black and Forest — the kind of straight-line trouser that pairs as easily with loafers as it does with boots.

Quality Over Everything

Everything is made at Sunspel’s factory in Long Eaton, England, using the brand’s signature fabrics. That matters. In an era when “collaboration” too often means slapping a famous name on a product and doubling the price, this collection feels genuinely personal. As Weller himself puts it: “This is my third collection now, and as you would expect from Sunspel, the fabrics, colours and craftsmanship are pure quality. I think the collection has pieces in it that everyone can wear and that will stand the test of time.”

He’s not wrong. These are not trend pieces. They are wardrobe staples designed to last — which is exactly what you’d expect from both the Modfather and a brand that has been making clothes for over 160 years.
