Raising the Bar: Inside the 2026 JW Anderson x Guinness Collection

We are always on the hunt for pieces that successfully bridge the gap between rich heritage and modern menswear. This season, Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson has delivered exactly that, raising a glass to his roots with a heady new collaboration that brings whimsy and nostalgia to what are otherwise eminently wearable pieces. Following a highly sought-after four-piece debut in 2024, JW Anderson and Guinness have returned in 2026 with an expansive 17-piece capsule collection. The collection, as is usual for JW Anderson, is gender neutral.

Workwear Rooted in Heritage

Whether working downmarket with Uniqlo, or with luxury brands such as Loewe, Dior, or his own namesake label. Anderson is at his best when he is at his most playful. It’s hard not to crack a smile when you see vintage brewery uniforms transformed into on-point (dare we say trendy) workwear.  Guinness is about the most iconic of Irish brands. But JW Anderson is known for taking a culturally loaded brand and decontextualizing it so it takes on new meaning.

He’s done this with the Guinness Harp Jumper, which prominently features the iconic 150 year old Gunness Harp logo, with the founding year of Guinness, 1759, writ large and crafted in a soft alpaca blend. It is finished with JW Anderson embroidery on the cuff. Made in Ireland, it celebrates Guinness’s role as an icon of Irish heritage ($1040). Meanwhile, the Guinness Gradient Jumper utilizes a soft alpaca blend to brilliantly mimic the creamy foam head of a freshly poured pint ($915).

The Guiness Harp Jumper

The standout garment is undoubtedly the pre-faded cotton canvas chore jacket. Chore jackets are everywhere these days, but this one hits different. Garment-dyed for a perfectly lived-in look, it features the iconic Guinness harp stamped on the chest, an understated JW Anderson leather patch, and a striking raw-hemmed Guinness letter appliqué across the back ($1040).

The collection also introduces indigo cotton dungarees ($1090), taking direct inspiration from the utilitarian uniforms once worn by Guinness brewers. These pieces perfectly capture the vintage workwear aesthetic that we frequently champion, and that is so beloved by men of a certain age.

Bottlel Top T-Shirt

Even the accessories are crafted with the care of a heritage brand. The capsule includes double-faced wool-cashmere scarves ($480) and T-shirts adorned with archival artwork, including the brewer’s iconic 1990s Pure Genius advertisements and vintage bottle top designs ($270). A lightweight linen camp-collar shirt printed with Guinness Time rounds out the warmer-weather offerings, serving as an ideal springtime staple that pairs effortlessly with tailored trousers or denim ($720).

Meet You Down The Devonshire

To bring the clothing to life, the supporting ad campaign was appropriately shot at The Devonshire—a London watering hole famous for serving an exceptional pint of stout. Fronted by actor Joe Alwyn and musician Little Simz, the imagery perfectly captures the convivial, shared experience of pub culture that inspired the garments in the first place.

For those looking to integrate a piece of this collaboration into their own rotation, the chore jacket or the retro graphic tees serve as accessible, stylish entry points. It’s an ideal mix of high fashion, vintage charm, and a touch of pure genius. I’ll drink to that.
